Funding under this investment supports Indo-Pacific developing countries to meet their reporting requirements and increase their level of participation in the Arms Trade Treaty. Australia's contribution aims to increase the number of states party to the Arms Trade Treaty, and support individual states with their reporting and participation in relevant meetings. This will make a direct contirbution to the reduction of armed violence and broader development outcomes by reducing the illicit trade in arms. The total value of this investment is $0.4 million over 3 years, starting 2017-18.
