Countries: Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal Organization: Terre des hommes Closing date: 20 Aug 2026 The Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), Switzerland’s largest children’s rights organisation, is restructuring its organisational model in order to get closer to children and youth in vulnerable situations in the 26 countries in which it is active. In Tdh’s new organisational model, HQ takes on the role of a centre of expertise in order to act effectively in favour of the respect, protection and promotion of children’s rights and to ensure overall steering, strategy, policies, monitoring and compliance and informed leadership. Our decentralisation process, launched two years ago, is a cornerstone of the Strategy 2025–2028. It aims to bring Tdh closer to children and communities, align our operations more closely with contextual realities, and deepen our commitment to local ownership and sustainable impact. A new adaptive model for Europe and Asia aims to strengthen proximity to children and communities; ensure more context-sensitive and agile ways of working; reinforce local ownership and develop in-country leadership while maintaining a lean, flexible, and resilient regional structure. Tdh is opening this vacancy: Title of position: Regional Health and Wa SH Coordinator Asia Hub Start date: 1.10.2026 Duration : 12 months Place of work : Any Terre des hommes (Tdh) Country Office in Asia Hub (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Myanmar) Contract: National contract in accordance with country labour legislation Eligibility: Only candidates who are legally eligible to work in one of the countries (India, Nepal, Bangladesh or Myanmar) will be considered. Terre des hommes does not set closing dates for this position; recruitment is on-going until the position is filled Responsibilities : The Regional Health and Wa SH Coordinator – Asia Hub ensures the regional impact of Tdh projects and the good quality of its interventions. S/He takes care of management of both sectors on a regional scale, ensures contextualization and coordinates integration into the region's matrix organization. S/He works in coordination with country Health and Wa SH Coordinators/Managers; leads and coordinates the development and implementation of Tdh’s Health and Wa SH strategies, in line with institutional direction, geographical contextualization, complementarity, collegiality, transparency and efficiency at the regional level. S/He is responsible for managing and carrying out a set of activities within the operational, thematic, administrative, financial, and logistical domains, as well as for corresponding technical support. Countries to oversee within the Asia Hub are India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar. Key Responsibilities: Lead implementation of regional Health and Wa SH strategies. Support country teams with technical guidance and programme quality assurance. Monitor regional trends, needs, programme performance, and operational indicators. Contribute to fundraising, proposal development, and donor engagement. Develop and strengthen partnerships with governments, donors, NGOs, academia, and private-sector actors. Promote innovation, learning, research, and cross-country collaboration. Represent Tdh in regional forums, networks, and advocacy initiatives. Profile looked for: Education : Master's degree in Public Health, Wa SH, or related medical/public health field. Experience & Competencies : Minimum 10 years of experience in Health and/or Wa SH programming with INGOs, NGOs, UN agencies, or similar organizations in Tdh operating countries in Asia Very good knowledge and technical understanding of Wa SH, digital health, maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition and health systems strengthening.
