Strengthening Environmental and Management at Local Level in Nepal Completion Phase

The project aims to strengthen environmental administration and management at the local level in the industrial corridor of south-east Nepal. By means of environmental advocacy and the project support local population is sensitized to actively pursue for i mporovements in their sanitary and hygienic conditions. The overall aim of the project is to introduce good practices for environment management systems and pollution control including environmental permitting.During the Completion Phase (2012-2014) the ma in emphasis will be to ensure sustainability of the results. More focus will also be placed at the central level and advocating results and models created in the project.
